Hole No.1 Mountain View
This hole lives up to its name though the growing trees are quietly limiting the view of the mountains. When Tom Bell drove the first ball from Tee 1 the hole was a Par 4 hole of 420 yards. However, the club had a large number of inexperienced golfers who objected to scoring regularly no stableford points on the first hole. So it became a slightly longer, but less difficult, Par 5. Bunkers to the left ( which were removed and then in later years replaced) and to the right and a ridge in the middle ensure that putting will not be easy.
