Summer Ringers 2025-2026
After the completion of Round 9, we see Joseph Reeves (51.440) retain the top spot on an improved net score of 42.560. His handicap index took another cut after it was reassessed to now 39.8. He's leads from Iain Findlater (13.963) who improves 5 places into second spot on 51.038, a margin of 8.478 separating them. Liam Longley (18.943) Drops a spot into third position on 51.057, 1.957 ahead of improving David Cross (15.986) in fourth on 53.014. With Colin Harrison (17.811) drops 2 spots into fifth position on 53.189.
Currently all 50 competitors are under net par after the ninth round, the leaderboard will change dramatically over the coming weeks and the narrowing of the range of net scores as the field compresses.
There were only 16 birdies or better recorded last week, bringing the overall total to 191, with the highlights this week being, the -1 round of 72 carded by Dean Harvey (-0.467) off the Blue tees, with an eagle on Hole # 4 and four birdies, a double-bogey and a three bogeys. John Deacon (8.533) and Seok Yong Park (1.583) shot +5 round of 78. There was one additional new eagle carded by the field this week, the total stands at 10.
Dean Harvey (-0.467) continues to lead the birdies or better statistics with a tally of 3 eagles and 10 birdies, followed by Spencer Wicks (4.325) with 2 eagles and 8 birdies then Seok Yong Park (1.583) with and eagle and 9 birdies. Roy Wang (7.275) is next with 10 birdies, then followed by Mal Ashton (9.000) with 9 birdies. Those with 8 birdies include Kyle Charlwood (10.600), Leighton Sparks (8.671), Vance Hetaraka (12.667) and David Harvey (9.589) and Justin Velluppillai (6.850) with 8 birdies.
There are now 43 players so far, to have to registered bogey or better on every hole.
The hardest ranked holes determined by the numbers of birdies or better carded after Round 8, the hardest hole is Hole # 2 with three birdies recorded by the Ringers field. With Holes # 6, # 10 and # 18 next, conceding four birdies each to the field. The easiest hole has been Hole # 1 with 22 birdies or better by different players. The next easiest is Hole # 4 with 21 birdies or better by different players, then followed by Hole # 12 with 18 birdies or better then Hole # 17 with 17 birdies.
