Welcome to Coringa Golf Club which is OPEN

(from 14th May)

And we can again play with other people!

But with a number of Government conditions we must adhere to for level 2

  • Bookings: Preferable that these should be made in advance on dotgolf or by ringing the ProShop 359 7174
  • You can now play with other people but 1m social distancing rules must be observed.
  • Contact Tracing: We need to know everyone who has been on the course. So everyone, members, green fee players and visitors must report to the Pro Shop. You are encouraged to get a card as this records your round on dot golf . If the Pro Shop is not open you must sign the register kept outside the Pro Shop before going on the course. If you are only going into the Cafe/Bar you will need to sign in upstairs.
  • Pro Shop will be open from 8:00am to 3:30 pm. Usual precautions apply - hand sanitising set up just outside the door, to be used on entering and leaving and strictly limited numbers in the shop
  • You can use screens to print cards and buy products. Contactless payment strongly preferred.
  • Cards: Cards are not exchanged. Each player keeps a record of both scores and then they verbally confirm scores and note their playing partner on the card. Signatures are not required. The new handicapping system is now in operation. Cards can be processed by Pro Shop staff but we encourage players to enter their own scores on the dotgolf screens. It is very quick and easy and Barry/Toby can show you how.
  • Carts: Because 1m social distancing rules must be applied these must be solo, unless the other person lives at the same address. Carts are sanitised between uses.
  • Driving Range is now open and hire clubs and trundlers available. These too are sanitised between uses.
  • Flag sticks are back but please do not touch them or remove them from the holes. Holes have been cut shallower to make removing balls easier.
  • Bunkers: Rakes are now back but if you do not want to touch them don't. Please do smooth out the sand if you can. A new rule has been brought in - in a bunker you may play the ball where it lies or drop it at a point in the bunker no nearer the hole with no penalty.
  • Toilets on the course will be open with sanitiser provided.
  • Please avoid hard surfaces like drinking fountains, rubbish containers etc.
  • Clubhouse: This is now open on club days (Thursdays and Saturdays) as well as any other group bookings such as the monthly Wednesday Watering Tournament held on the first Wednesday of each month.
Enjoy your golf if you can get out. We have waited a while for this!
